January 2026: CISI associates started a new online course on wartime memory politics in ex-Yugoslavia

Within the Balkan track of the Invisible University for Ukraine, Dr Vladimir Petrovic, Jelena Jovanovic and Novak Vuco opened a new course entitled War After War at the Post-Yugoslav space. This course is supported by the UNDP and facilitated by the Belgrade Open School, and deals with the most problematic issues form the recent past which are casting a shadow on intrastate relations in the Balkans and are affecting their societies. First lecture was held by Dr Dragan Popovic, author of a book Losing Humanity: Srebrenica as a Historical Fact, which is the first book based on sound historical method published in Serbia ever. The course was designed and opened  for both Ukrainian and Balkan students by Vladimir Petrovic.
