In cooperation with North American Society for Serbian Studies, Innovation Center launched an initiative aimed at locating the sources of relevance for history of diaspora communities in North America. The goal of this action, initiated by IC board members Nada Petkovic and Emily Greble, is a creation of the catalogue which would facilitate such research and make those resources more accessible in digital form for scholars from the US and Serbia alike. The initiative, triggered by a visit of Dr Stanislav Sretenovic to Chicago, will be developed by Dr Adam Sofronijevic and Dr Rade Ristanovic in consultations with Drs Katarina Besirevic from American Studies Center. As its first step, ICH will digitize its analog collection of Glas kanadskih Srba and pair it with the existing collection of Mihajlo Pupin’s Srbobran of Searchable Digital Library. In the second step, Dr Luka Filipovic will visit Chicago to partake in Professor Petkovic’s seminar and explore further modalities of cooperation.
